n The Bethel Park School District is one of 250 school
districts in the United States and Canada, as well as one
of 26 Pennsylvania School Districts, to be honored by the
College Board with placement on its 10th Annual AP District
Honor Roll. To be included on the 10th Annual District Honor
Roll, Bethel Park had to, since 2017, increase the number of
students participating in Advanced Placement classes, while
also increasing or maintaining the percentage of students
earning AP Exam scores of 3 or higher. According to the
College Board, reaching these goals shows that Bethel Park
is successfully identifying motivated, academically prepared
students who are ready for AP.
n Benjamin Franklin and William Penn Elementary
Schools were named Title I Distinguished Schools by the
Pennsylvania Department of Education in the Reward: High
Achievement Category for meeting all four Annual Measurable
Objectives—Test Participation in the PSSA Mathematics and
Reading Tests, Attendance Rate, Closing the Achievement Gap
on the PSSA Mathematics and Reading Tests for all students,
and Closing the Achievement Gap on the PSSA Mathematics

n The District’s Federal Programs were found to be
