New Australian Almonds branding
" I LOVE almonds ,” is a response you often hear when you tell someone that you work in the almond industry . It was this comment that prompted the ABA ’ s marketing team to develop the slogan ‘ Love Aussie almonds , they ’ ll love you back ”. It was part of a suite of new marketing collateral that was unveilled at the Australian Almond Conference in October . An almond chair , that ’ s shaped like a large kernel is also a new promotional tool that was very popular with conference delegates , with many people stopping for a photo . During her presentation at the conference , the ABA ’ s new marketing manager , Mel Wyness , explained what led to the creation of the almond chair . “ Nothing sticks better than something people can interact with , and the almond chair has been designed as a comfortable and nurturing space to draw people in ,” she said . The chair recently appeared at the Wellness Wander Festival in the Adelaide Hills on October 26 , during the Nourish by Well Traveller event . The intimate event was attended by people who were passionate about food , health and nutrition . Recent Master Chef contestant Malissa Fedele ran a mood-boosting cooking demonstration featuring Australian almonds . Matt Evans a Tasmanian author , TV host , chef and farmer discussed the cycle of farming , growing , soil and eating in a practical way . Local biodynamic farm and vineyard Ngeringa ’ s holistic health coach and cellar door manager Erica Rushbrook provided tips for mindful eating and the benefits of nourishing your body with organic wholefoods . Almond samples were also provided to attendees . The almond chair is set to appear at events in Australia and overseas in 2025 and beyond .
