THE 2023 Anuga trade exhibition ran from Saturday 7 October to Wednesday 11 October . Interestingly , the first two days of the exhibition which were on a weekend proved to be the busiest on our Australian almond stand . The overhead signage was an effective tool for promoting our stand ’ s presence in the Hall . We utilised a private meeting room on the stand for the first time . This is a valuable addition for the very busy exhibitions such as Gulfood . Anuga remains a very important trade exhibition for the Australian almond industry . It was the most important trade fair in Europe in 2023 and our industry has shipped 13,427 tonnes of almonds to this region for the March to September period . Our focus is now on our Export Market Development
Program for 2024 . We have a comprehensive calendar of outbound trade missions including all our key trading regions :
• India Conference and Exhibition in Delhi : February
• Middle East exhibition at Gulfood in Dubai : February
• Three exhibitions in China : China Nut Expo in April , Sial Shanghai in May and the China Tree Nut Industry Conference in August
• Southeast Asia focus with a Seminar in Kuala Lumpur and the Thaifex exhibition in Bangkok in May and Food Ingredients Asia exhibition in Jakarta in September
• European promotions via the Snackex exhibition in Stockholm in June and Sial Paris in October .
Striking overhead signage was a new addition to the Australian Almonds exhibit this year , and helped raise its presence in the hall .
The weekend days of the Augua trade fair were the busiest for the Australian Almonds stand .
A meeting room added to the Australian Almonds exhibit gave a quieter space to facilitate discussions with attendees interested in learning more about our industry and products .
The event was the most important trade fair in Europe in 2023 . Australia has shipped 13,427 tonnes of almonds to Europe this year between March and September .
