Minnesota Student Nurses’ Association( MSNA)
The Minnesota Student Nurses’ Association( MSNA) is eagerly preparing for its upcoming annual convention, set for February 7, 2026, on campus at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. In previous years, the convention was hosted at Minnesota State University, Mankato, but this year’ s central location aims to make attendance more accessible to students statewide. MSNA anticipates an even greater turnout than last year’ s 200 attendees as planning continues for keynote speakers, breakout sessions, exhibitor booths, and more opportunities for student engagement and professional growth.
A recent highlight for the MSNA board was hosting its first in-person meeting after months of virtual collaboration. The gathering took place at The Malt

The summit’ s keynote panel featured Tameka Wallace, Daria Frontera, MSN, RN-BC, and Arlene Ramirez, MSN, RN, CCRN, who shared their inspiring journeys into leadership and emphasized the importance of taking risks and stepping beyond one’ s comfort zone. Additional sessions included a presentation by Lauren Lodico, BSN, RN, highlighting the role of advocacy and professional involvement in nursing, and a workshop on interview and résumé skills led by Nicoletta Cascio and Toniann Livigni.
Thanks to the NSANYS Board of Directors, the summit was a resounding success— providing future nurses with new insights, mentorship, and motivation to embrace leadership opportunities. Attendees are already looking forward to reconnecting at the NSANYS Annual Convention this February.
