Excellent work WSNA! The smiles in the event photos speak volumes as to the positive impact it had on the attendees. shelter, Hesed House, and to Waubonsee students experiencing financial difficulty. The drive ran for one-week and raised over $ 450 worth of various personal hygiene products. SNA members also hosted a special service day at the Sacred Heart Food Pantry to help distribute warm food and groceries to families in need.
Waubonsee Community College Student Nurses’ Association – Sugar Grove, IL
Waubonsee Community College Student Nurses’ Association( WCC SNA) wrapped up 2024 with several great initiatives that helped their community thrive well into 2025! WCC SNA sponsored a child through United Way with a Giving Tree Fundraiser. They provided over $ 100 in holiday gifts to the child by producing fun and creative nursing themed shirts and donating the proceeds to their cause. SNA members organized volunteers to help with wrapping the presents and gift distribution.

In addition to community service, the WCC SNA focused on helping students stand out within their professional networks by hosting a LinkedIn Headshots and Marketing Opportunity event. SNA members partnered with their Student Life Department to offer nursing students a free professional headshot opportunity, courtesy of Waubonsee’ s media team.
