Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing Student Nurses’ Association( BSMCON SNA) rallied their students and faculty to raise awareness for National Children’ s Dental Health Month during February. They ran a Smile Drive donation drive and collected toothbrushes for a local charity. Donations were accepted from students, faculty, and local dental offices.
In addition to the Smile Drive, the BSMCON SNA has planned three educational events this semester for its student body in an effort to promote professional development, networking, and career planning. The events aim to inspire students to begin their career investigations now, while developing their knowledge and appreciation for interprofessional team collaboration. The college hosts the events, which are presented by guest speakers recruited through the SNA officers.
BSMCON SNA event lineup includes the following presentations:
n NSNA Speaks by Matthew Zender, NSNA Vice President, Membership Chair, and nursing student at Stony Brook School of Nursing in Stony Brook, New York.
• NSNA membership benefits, programs, constituency, and annual conferences.
