Set up a designated study area that you will use faithfully . This is a crucial step to ensure you ’ re able to focus and learn effectively . Make sure you choose some place free of distractions , such as people or electronics . Remove as much temptation as possible to reduce distractions . As nursing students , we have a lot of content to learn , which can feel overwhelming . A focused study area can help alleviate this feeling .
When possible , print out any presentations or notes ahead of class . This will make taking detailed notes during lectures easier than listening and recording everything the professor says . As for taking notes , I found using an erasable multi-colored pen helpful . This allows you to color-code your notes , which can help you organize and remember information more effectively .
