Audrey Smallman , Chair
Case Western Reserve University Cleveland , OH
Greetings NSNA Members !
It is an honor to serve as your Resolutions Committee Chair for the 2024-25 term . I am a senior at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland , OH , pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Childhood Studies . In addition to my role with NSNA , I also serve as the President of my school ’ s Undergraduate Student Nurses Association .
Over the past two years , I have had the privilege of attending NSNA ’ s Annual Convention , where I was inspired by the wide range of important resolution topics presented in the House of Delegates . The resolution process allowed my SNA to explore issues that affect us locally in the clinical setting and bring them to the attention of all of you . As Resolutions Chair , my goal is to help you effectively communicate the issues that matter most to you and foster collaboration among nursing students nationwide . Through resolutions , we can learn from each other and advocate for meaningful change . The resolutions adopted by the House of Delegates help guide NSNA ’ s stance on key policy issues and raise awareness of matters that require collective focus .
Your membership in NSNA reflects your dedication to the future of our profession . Together , we are leaders and changemakers . I look forward to working with many of you on your resolutions and meeting you in person at the Annual Convention in Seattle !

From the outset of my nursing journey , I have felt a need to be involved in advocacy and the community in nursing . I firmly believe that nursing is not only about providing direct patient care but also about shaping the policies and practices that affect the healthcare system . My involvement with NSNA has only strengthened my commitment to fostering positive change . Being a part of the Resolutions Committee allows me to directly participate in the process of developing resolutions that address critical issues in healthcare , nursing education , and the professional development of nursing students .
This past year , I was extremely blessed to experience the 72nd NSNA Annual Convention in Florida . It was one of the most impactful experiences of my nursing journey thus far . Especially when my school chapter ’ s resolution was passed by the House of Delegates , the experience reaffirmed my belief in the importance of student-led advocacy and the role that we play in shaping the future of healthcare . It inspired me to continue my work in resolutions and
