Marlo Robinson Appointed NLN Consultant to the NSNA Board of Directors
The National Student Nurses ’ Association ( NSNA ) appointed Marlo Robinson , DNP , JD , RN , CD ( DONA ), as National League for Nursing ( NLN ) Consultant to the NSNA Board of Directors ( BOD ). In her new role , Dr . Robinson will provide exceptional guidance and mentorship to future nursing leaders . Her role will be pivotal in shaping the next generation of nurses and contributing to the advancement of the nursing profession as a whole .
Dr . Robinson is the National Dean of Nursing at Concorde Career Colleges , Inc ., in Mission , KS , where she oversees multiple nursing VN / PN to prelicensure BSN programs nationwide . She also serves as co-chair of the Diversity , Equity , and Inclusion Committee at Concorde Career Colleges . She is an active member of the International Society for Professional Identity in Nursing and serves as a commissioner of the inaugural taskforce for the Central States Private Education Network ’ s Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce . Additionally , she serves as a mentor to nursing students completing their capstone nursing course at historically black colleges and universities through partnerships with the National League for Nursing and Johnson & Johnson ’ s “ Step into Leadership ” program .

For the 22nd Consecutive Year , Nurses Rank as Most Honest , Ethical Profession
On January 22 , 2024 , Gallup News announced that for the 22nd consecutive year , Americans ranked nurses as having the highest level of honesty and ethical standards among a diverse list of professions . According to the poll , 78 % of U . S . adults currently believe nurses have high honesty and ethical standards .
Gallup has measured the public ’ s views of the honesty and ethical standards of a variety of professions since 1976 . Nurses have surpassed all other professions every year , but one , since they were added to the Gallup list in 1999 .
