Alumnus and business leader Sam Ohuabunwa is author of Economic Empowerment for God’s People. He sees spiritual well-being as a major factor in business success. In 2011, he followed up by establishing Nigeria’s Foundation for Economic Empowerment, with the goal of “bringing God into business, economics, and politics.” “Thoroughly impressed” with Haggai Institute, this retired CEO of Neimeth International now holds positions in the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria. “When I go to these advisory committees,” Sam says, “I see myself as essentially there to promote the Gospel. I focus on the fact that nothing can happen except when you do it according to God’s will.” 8 Marcos Antônio Goncalvez of Brazil calls his recent International Training Session “unforgettable, amazing, unique, and a gift from the Lord.” The national marketing and sales manager for the Pearson Education Company says his vision for the world was totally changed. “I will not be the same . . . now I have the tools and knowledge to reach so many people. A new fire is burning in my heart!” His goal is to establish an NGO reaching more than 10,000 employees and to raise funds by encouraging serious commitment to stewardship.
