LT WIMBERLY LEE STATE PRISON
Lieutenant Wimberly began her career with the Department in November 2014 . She is a conscientious employee with excellent attendance , a good attitude , and a willingness to learn and take on any new task that is given to her .
Lt . Wimberly has volunteered several times to work at other facilities when needed . Her ability to grasp the information in training , demonstrate , and model the behavior for subordinates and offenders is outstanding . Her ambitions , intelligence , and accomplishments complement precisely the stellar leadership of a well-trained Lieutenant and make her highly deserving of the honor and opportunity bestowed by the GDC of the Beyond the Badge recipient .
OFFICER MOODY VALDOSTA STATE PRISON
Officer Moody began his career with the Georgia Department of Corrections in January 2021 . During a recent incident , Officer Moody assisted a fellow comrade gaining control of combative offender to prevent further harm to staff or the offender . Officer Moody ’ s prompt response in calling a code and facilitating the rapid response of personnel and medical aid were a prime example of what should be done in this situation .
Valdosta State Prison would like to acknowledge the professional nature and prompt response of Officer Moody . He is a tremendous asset to the department and the law enforcement community .
