SGT HOOD HELMS FACILITY
Sergeant Hood began her career with the agency in 1994 as a Correctional Officer . Sgt . Hood transferred to Metro Transitional Center in 1998 and returned to the agency in 2007 .
Hood is dedicated to the agency ’ s mission and puts forth 100 % effort at the facility . Her experience and knowledge are invaluable , and she is always willing to assist other staff with getting the job done right . Sgt . Hood has taken on the duties of the facility ’ s chief of security for the past three months without complaint . She exemplifies being a team player , coming in early and staying late , and volunteering to assist with various tasks . We are proud to have her at Helms Facility .
OFFICER ALFORD GEORGIA DIAGNOSTIC & CLASSIFICATION PRISON
Officer Alford began his career with the Georgia Department of Corrections in October 2007 . Alford has worked in numerous areas while assigned to Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison ( GDCP ), with the most recent assignment being Mail Room Officer .
Officer Alford works diligently to ensure all his area processes are carried out . Officer Alford ’ s attention to detail has deterred the introduction of contraband on multiple occasions . Due to his diligence in the mail room , GDCP is a safer facility , and we are proud to have him on the GDCP team .
