CO JILL JONES MACON STATE PRISON
Correctional Officer ( CO ) Jones has been a dedicated and dependable employee for over 19 years at Macon State Prison . She is known for her tenacity and willingness to go above and beyond in all that she does .
In March 2021 , while working as the Warehouse Officer , CO Jones found a bundle of tobacco located in a box of gloves . She then proceeded to search all the remaining glove boxes , where she found bundles of tobacco , bundles of a leafy green substance , various edible substances , chargerss , USB cables , transfer cables , and black caps .
Thanks to Officer Jones ’ dedication , this contraband did not make it into the hands of offenders .
LT SHELAND CRAY TELFAIR STATE PRISON
Lieutenant ( Lt .) Cray began her career with the department in 2015 . She is a team player and a valuable asset to the Telfair State Prison ( SP ) family .
During her career , she has been instrumental in helping combat contraband at Telfair SP . In March 2021 , she spotted a drone flying over the facility that had landed on the kitchen roof , and shortly , after another drone was spotted . Lt . Cray followed the drone and called for a security check where a second package was confiscated . The packages contained cell phones , tobacco , and marijuana .
Thanks to Lt . Cray ’ s attentiveness , contraband was prevented from being introduced into the facility .
