Officer Evans has worked for the Georgia Department of Corrections for five years. He began his career at Georgia State Prison in 2014 and transferred to the Bacon Probation Detention Center in May 2015. Officer Evans is a hardworking, self-motivated young man who truly understands the definition of initiative.

He is recognized for always following through with any task and being the first to volunteer when needed. He is a well-rounded Correctional Officer that likes his job and shows up to work every day with a positive, can-do attitude, and is prepared for whatever may come his way.

Officer Evans is the same young man in uniform, as he is outside of the facility and we appreciate all that he does for Bacon Probation Detention Center.

Officer Burchfield has been employed with the Georgia Department of Corrections for five years at Smith State Prison. Officer Burchfield contributes to his facility with his great work ethic and constantly going above and beyond anything that is expected of him.

He is currently the Key Control Officer and he exemplifies the epitome of a team player and often assists in helping anywhere he is needed. Officer Burchfield ensures the safety of all staff and offenders by following the prison’s key control program. He is very knowledgeable and ensured the smooth transition for the employees of Smith State Prison to utilize a faster method of obtaining their keyrings.

Officer Burchfield is always available when needed and goes above and beyond for Smith State Prison.
