by milk then eggs and butter would
be the least amount of product in the
item. The first five ingredients are the
most important because that’s what
you’re eating the most of.
Step two try very hard not to
buy items that have names you
cannot pronounce or a laundry list of
ingredients a good rule of thumb
don’t buy anything with more than
5-7
ingredients
in it. Having
more than
that usual
means its
loaded with
all sorts of
preservatives,
additives, dy es and chemicals that
rack havoc on your body and health.
Especially stay away from products
that list chemical sounding names in
the first five ingredients because it
means the product contains a lot of
that item. For example Ritz whole
wheat cracker’s a seemingly healthy
sounding popular household
staple has a listing of 18 total
ingredients with whole
wheat being listed as
number eight on
the list which is
a minuscule
amount of
whole
grains yet
the
product is
labeled
whole grain
which leads
people to
[2]
believe this is a healthy product when
it couldn’t be further from the truth.
A product called Ak-mak a truly
natural whole wheat cracker
containing eight ingredients that you
could easily grab out of your
cupboard or refrigerator that any first
grader could read.
Third you want to look at
food additives, there are currently
over 3,00 food additives approved by
the FDA to be added to the American
food supply, and many of them are
known to be harmful & cariogenic.
Since it would take a book to tell you
all the various food additives and the
issues they cause I will provide a
short list of the most harmful

I’d like to add a few
that are not on the
list above. High
fructose corn syrup
known to disrupt brain
function and fat
metabolization as well
as Carmel color found
in many meat products
and beverages known
also to cause cancer.
