A STRATEGIC VISION FOR THE FUTURE: A Letter from the Co-Chairs of the Board of Directors, Bruce Fernie and Bryan Glinton As the new Co-Chairs of the Board of LCIS, it is our great pleasure to introduce the Development Report that celebrates the support that you gave our school during the 2014-15 fiscal year. As the only school in The Bahamas to offer three IB programmes, LCIS is the leading school in the region for families who are looking for rigorous academics, critical and creative thinking and a programme that nurtures the development of the whole child. We continue to experience great success across the complement of annual IB examinations. Our enrolment is robust, diversity is high and demand for places at LCIS continues to increase. In short, LCIS is doing well, but of course that does not mean that we have any intention of standing still as we look forward to an even brighter future. Our strategic vision for the next six years will guide decision making and resource allocation to ensure that we continue to move in the direction that is best for our students through sound planning, efficient operations and philanthropic support. The general structure of the plan is divided into the three core areas of people, programmes and space. Firstly, inspiring excellent teaching continues to be our number one priority and focus. Secondly, we will continue to challenge our students with our innovative curriculum and programmes. Finally, we will transform our environment and our students’ lives as we expand and enhance the facilities and diversity of our commu
