BUILDING FOUNDATION: A Letter from the Principal, Stacey Bobo It is always a pleasure to address the broad community that makes up our school, and even more so at this time. Today, Lyford Cay International School stands on a solid foundation of superior academic and enrichment programmes that develop our students academically, socially, emotionally, physically, artistically and ethically. We have a proven product as our test scores, college acceptances, scholarships and enrolment attest. We have led the way nationally and internationally in 21st-century education and in the International Baccalaureate Programme. Over the past several years, we have worked hard at every level, and our efforts have resulted in a product of which we are extremely proud, a product that is an amalgam of our rich history and a promising future. This new year brings exciting news and the opportunity to look forward as we cement our position as the leading school in the Caribbean. Your partnership has enabled us to become the best school in The Bahamas and we are excited to continue implementing this vision of excellence. Our school prides itself on our culture of accomplishment, but is equally proud of the partnerships with parents, neighbours and organisations that have enabled us to get where we are today. We have been blessed with an exceptionally responsive and generous community. It is this culture of giving that has allowed us to reach beyond what tuition dollars can allow and strive for even higher standards in so many areas. Thank you for helping us make such a significant impact in The Bahamas and in the education of so many students. These are exciting times at Lyford Cay International School and the beginning of a new era as we build on past accomplishments and investments. Thank you for contributing to the wonderful learning opportunities that we are able to create for all of our students. 5 7
