Braamfontein. A fairly new
hotel situated comfortably
next to the hub of high-traffic
establishments such as Kitchener’s and
the Great Dane. The area is constantly
bustling with activity, welcoming
people from all walks of life. Braam
itself has become the epicentre for
Johannesburg’s creative melting pot –

ranging from freelance photographers,
CEO’s and everything in-between.
Andrew Bannister is the man who owns
the location, along with his family and
some close friends. He highlights how
they rely mostly on word-of-mouth to
advertise their business, targeting the
young-at-heart who seek refuge in the
concrete jungle of Jozi.
