On 3/4/19, I received a phone call from a patient. She first left me a message marked it urgent and said that it could not wait and she needed to let me know how one person has saved her life. She started off saying that she has been place to place she has been given the run around about her care. The patient was told by many facilities that they will not biopsy her and she needed surgery because of the location and was brushed off. She called Sharon and she was upset, mad, and so frustrated and even said she was mean to Sharon. She said that Sharon was extremely calm, patient, kind, smart, and reassured her that we would get her some answers. Sharon reviewed the report and quickly got her in touch with a radiologists to speak with her. With Sharon’s quick thinking she got me answers in one day. She said out of all the people she has interacted with Sharon alleviated her fears and even though she is scared she knows now she will be in best hands. She said she wanted to make sure Sharon knew the impact she had on her life and has made such a difference.

Sharon, thank you for being the first point of contact for a lot of our patients and making sure they know through one phone call that we can take care of them and instilling that trust! - Ginger Hill
