CONEXPO PREVIEW
The ALLU Transformer M-Series is a heavyduty screening and crushing bucket designed for large excavators and wheel loaders
M-Series can help improve run of mine( ROM) material quality by rejecting rock in a single pass, the company says. Unlike conventional crushers that indiscriminately crush everything that enters the hopper, the ALLU approach is designed to break down softer material while leaving harder rock and other unwanted material intact.“ This supports simultaneous sizing of the target material and separation / rejection of rock from ROM feed in one step, reducing unnecessary re-handling and improving the consistency of material moving downstream,” the company says.
Across both mining and demolition, ALLU’ s message is consistent: bring the processing to the material, reduce double handling and unlock more productivity from the fleet you already have.
Portable and productive
Vermeer’ s recently introduced SM55 surface miner could be on show in Las Vegas, with the company saying it is designed to deliver production-level performance in a compact, transportable package.
This powerful machine, weighing 54,431 kg, features drive-on, drive-off capability that enables single-load transportation with minimal permitting requirements.
It is engineered for versatility across quarrying, surface mining and civil construction applications. The company explains:“ With a 415 hp( 310 kW) Caterpillar ® C13 ACERT Tier 4 Final engine, the machine delivers 75-degree highwall capability, a maximum cutting depth of 13.8 in( 351 mm) and a maximum cutting width of 96 in( 2,438 mm).”
It comes with advanced features such as full-function remote control and GPScompatible technology, allowing operators and contractors to efficiently tackle diverse projects across multiple sites.
“ The SM55 represents a significant advancement in surface mining equipment,” John Milligan, Director of Sales for Vermeer Specialty Excavation Equipment, says.“ We’ ve listened closely to quarry operators and mining contractors who need a machine that can work efficiently across multiple sites without the logistical complications of heavy equipment transport. The result is a surface miner that combines production capabilities with unprecedented portability, opening new possibilities for contractors who want to diversify their operations or serve multiple locations efficiently.”
A standout feature of the Vermeer SM55 is its transportability. Unlike larger surface miners that require disassembly for transport, the SM55 moves as a single unit on common industry trailers. This eliminates the need for cranes, rigging crews and
