As the original developer of load volume scanning technology, Loadscan says it continues to lead the market with solutions that address measurement challenges many companies don’ t even realise they have. At CONEXPO, it will be displaying two of its flagship systems – the Load Volume Scanner( LVS) and the Conveyor Volume Scanner( CVS) – to help the education process.
The company explains:“ Traditional weight-based measurement methods have long been the industry standard, but they come with inherent limitations and inaccuracies. Loadscan’ s technology takes a different approach, measuring product by volume rather than weight. This provides a more accurate and reliable method for quantifying bulk products such as aggregate and ore.”
The LVS captures precise 3D profiles of truck loads, delivering accurate volume measurements regardless of material density variations, moisture content, or loading conditions. This technology eliminates the guesswork and inconsistencies that can plague weight-based systems, giving operations managers the data they need to optimise productivity, ensure compliance and maximise profitability, the company says.
The 3D profiles help detect underloading, which means lost revenue on every trip, and overloading, which can create safety issues and equipment damage. The LVS also highlights off-centre loading that can cause vehicle instability and damage, while identifying carryback.
The CVS, meanwhile, brings the same precision to belt operations, continuously monitoring material flow on conveyors with exceptional accuracy, according to the company. This real-time measurement capability enables operators to make informed decisions quickly, improving
