The launch of the MSR Halo™ in 2025 marked an important milestone for Reutech Mining
challenges.“ The appropriate solution may depend on the size and geometry of the slope, the monitoring range, atmospheric conditions, movement behaviour, available power infrastructure, operational objectives and the type of monitoring campaign required. There is no single radar configuration that is right for every application.”
This is the reasoning behind Reutech Mining developing a portfolio comprising three different radar technologies.
The MSR Modular uses Real Aperture Radar technology to provide a targeted and highly configurable monitoring solution. The MSR Esprit uses Multiple-Input Multiple-Output radar technology, capturing its complete scan envelope in less than two seconds and supporting monitoring in complex and rapidly changing environments. The MSR Halo™ uses Synthetic Aperture Radar technology to provide 360 ° coverage, a monitoring range of up to 5,000 m and submillimetre accuracy.
Reutech Mining says it is the only company offering all three radar technologies for slope stability monitoring within one portfolio: Real Aperture Radar, Synthetic Aperture Radar and Multiple-Input Multiple- Output radar.
