Komatsu bolsters narrow-vein / low-
of GHH Group last profile offering
With Komatsu’ s acquisition year, its consolidated und erground hard-rock mining offering has expanded significantly. Together with its partners, this portfolio includes loaders, trucks, drills, bolters and utility vehicles for both narrow-vein and low-profile operations.
GHH has a reputation for its low-profile offering and footprint in southern Africa and large narrow-vein truck, while traditional Komatsu products have proven themselves in the narrowvein space. The combined Komatsu offering now boasts five low-profile underground hard-rock products including the WX05LP( GHH’ s SLP-5), WX06LP( SLP-6), WX08LP( SLP-8) and WX10LP loaders, and the HX30LP truck. In addition, there is the industrial minerals low-profile offering that includes the WX03LP( SLP-3H), WX09LP( SLP-9) and WX14LP( SLP-14H), which all come with EU Stage V engine packages.

The HX30 low-profile truck has an operator’ s compartment roof window that enables the operator to see the dump box in the fully raised position as well as additional cameras on the rear and side for increased visibility. It also has an oscillating articulation to significantly improve frame life and operator comfort. There is an additional seat in the operator’ s compartment, allowing for transport of a technician or visitor underground, along with basic operator training benefits.

20 kW best-in-class engine power, the HX30LP also comes in Tier 3 and EU Stage V engine packages, the company says.
