When asked about her perspective of the evolution of OT , Engbring stated that “ as Lillian Parent ( former UIC OT faculty member ) said , we should have stuck with developing to the nth degree , ADL .” Engbring ’ s other key achievements include the creation of a teacher ’ s guide for teaching medicine and surgery and diseases that were genetically based .
We thank Janet Engbring for sharing her stories and experiences and for her numerous and meaningful contributions to occupational therapy in Illinois .
