process selling your product, buying the filters, deciding exactly which community you
want to help, actually making the trip to help
them, installing the filters, teaching them how
to work. But when you manage to do all of
these things and you actually make the delivery, it’s just a great feeling because you put
in all the work and dedication, and you have
made a difference in a bunch of people’s lives.
“I think that might be my favorite feeling of the experience as a whole. It gives
me the motivation I need to continue working and continue getting better, because
there – and only there – do you witness the
impact you’re making firsthand, and that
by itself is nothing but pure motivation.”

store, but the plan is to open at other locations, among them Guadalajara, Puebla, and

has been pondered before, as well as installing new strategies – all of this being thought of
as means to expand the company’s horizons.
And as long as the subject is expanding horizons,
Mauricio isn’t afraid to dream big when asked
about his long-term vision for Dos Banderas is.
“The idea is to take the brand to other countries, internationalize the company
without losing out essence and the fact that
we’re a 100% Mexican brand that improves
the living conditions of rural communities.
“But for the time being, the road we
are taking is to continue working in forming partnerships with department stores all
throughout Mexico, selling our products,
increasing our popularity, and we’ll see
