MEET IJGA STUDENT-ATHLETES JESSIE CAI Germany and China How did you first become interested in golf? In 2013, because I wanted to find an alternative to swimming. Which ONE golf course would you most like to play and why? Augusta, because the best in the world play there. St. Andrews, the home of golf. Why did you choose to attend IJGA? To become the best I can with having the best opportunities. What is the best advice you have ever received? Even though you might not achieve an outcome goal you wanted, but you always learn something! The most important thing is being reflective and doing the best you can. What is the best part of playing golf? Every shot is different, everything is a new challenge. Who is your hero and why? Jordan Speith, because he stayed with his core values. What is your biggest accomplishment in golf so far? Being able to be more accepting of my shots and reactions on the course. Who are your favorite PGA Touring Pros? Jordan Speith and Nelly Korda. What are your goals for the future? LPGA Tour, being happy, staying on the path I started. Where is the coolest place you have traveled to play or watch golf? Carnoustie, HSBC World Golf Championship in Shanghai, Solheim Cup 2013 in Germany. What is your favorite part of being an IJGA student-athlete? Having the opportunity to do my best to achieve my goals, play golf all day long. Who is your favorite band or musician? Justin Bieber One fun fact about yourself: I love singing. I want to be an LPGA Tour player or K Pop singer (but Vee tells me that I should stop singing!) 19
