N.B. You are going to read this article aloud to yourself. Yes, I am reading this article aloud.
I know that hearing it from myself will make a greater impact.
The strong believer is better and more beloved
to Allah than the weak believer. Though
everyone is in goodness. [Muslim]
Islamic conduct and etiquettes provide me
with various positive practises and guidance.
Islam as a spiritual force of positivity, demands
determination and strength. It also commands
versatility and perseverance during the
temporary challenges of life and patience. With
Islam as my guide, my self-motivation and
control are naturally approached through the
practices of the Sunnah. Hence, let me take a
look at three principle tips and advice found in
Islam to help me come out of my constricting
world into the vastness of the hereafter.
I will look at:
• Changing my thinking
• Understanding that I am not alone
• Following the prophetic routine
• If I can dream it, I can do it!

And this is how we reward the people of Ihsaan
(enormous good) [Quran 77:44]
My focus is the hereafter and my challenge is
the Dunya (worldly distractions). Yes, I have
been challenged; how am I going to get to the
end of it? Do I wish to be crawling, bawling or
smiling? Farsightedness is a trait instilled in
my religion, Islam.
The Prophetic teaching has guided my attitude
towards all challenges of life and expects me
to adopt the strong path, to be the fighter, to be
the one who can ride the waves.
I am strong, and I need to accept that weakness
is a fallacy within my imagination. In the
Chapter of “Belief in The Divine Decree and
Submission to It” by Imam Muslim, the entire
hadith summarises and establishes a strong
frame of mind for dealing with my hurdles.
Abu Hurairah reported Allah’s Messenger
(SAW) as saying: A strong believer is better and
is more lovable to Allah than a weak believer,
and there is good in everyone, (but) appreciate
that which gives you benefit, seek help from
Allah and do not lose heart. Regardless, if
anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you,
don’t say: If I had not done that, it would not
have happened so and so, but say: Allah did
that what He had ordained to do and your”
if” opens the (gate) for the Satan. [Muslim]
