1. Make Ego Work For You
Ego: a person's sense of self-esteem or self-importance (Oxford Dictionary)
Everyone has a sense of self; some are exaggerated while others are too understated. A well-balanced ego can be useful. Look, for example, at the person who strives to do better in a shorter timeframe, with and for their peers. Positive and constructive feedback increases their self-esteem encouraging them to work even harder. On the flipside, an overinflated level of self-importance comes across as arrogance. It's this type of ego that damages relationships and creates a negative working climate.
