the online sports betting and casino
sectors since 2012 are impressive.
Including poker, from generating an
annual total of DKK1.32bn in 2012
the online market has grown by
150% in the intervening six years.
Of this, sports betting has grown
by 230% and casino by 150% with
only poker disappointing, down
40% over the same period.
On a year-on-year basis, sports
betting GGR has grown by an
average of 28% although this figure
masks a spurt of growth in the first
years of the new regime, whereas in
2017 the year-on-year percentage
increase was just 8% (see Table 2).
Growth in casino revenues has
been steadier with the average
year-on-year growth percentage
standing at 21% and 2017 coming
