FORGING AHEAD
Integration issues were touched upon by Better Collective with reference to its North American business , which is effectively three operations now joined together .
They include the $ 240m Action Network acquisition from May 2021 , the RotoGrinders business bought for € 33m in November 2021 and the addition of Canada Sports Betting to the business for € 21.4m in May last year .
Chief financial officer Flemming Pedersen said it was “ consolidating ” the three businesses . “ We are now focused on scaling the business ,” he added , with some functions combined and consolidated while group functions in Europe are being utilised . “ So , we operate as one entity and there is a focus on scalability and profit .”
Indeed , if there are perils in being the outright number one operator in the market , then Better Collective is yet to show it .
The traditionally quieter third quarter produced the company ’ s all-time second highest revenues
