Gentoo / GiG Media Record breaker
Last year was a transformative year for Gentoo Media, marked by the completed split from Gaming Innovation Group( now GiG Software) and the rebranding of the business as a standalone gambling affiliate entity. Chair Mikael Harstad emphasised the complexity and success of this transition:“ We managed to yet again reach recordbreaking results. This shows that we are on the right track and proves the robustness and the strength of our business model.”
Chief executive Jonas Warrer echoed this, noting:“ The planned separation is completed positioning Gentoo Media as a standalone company … we have further opportunities to improve our brand and revenues.”
Gentoo Media achieved all-time high results in 2024. Full-year revenue of € 124.5 million was up 41 % year-on-year with 17 % organic growth. The five-year CAGR for revenue now stands at 38 %. Full-year 2024 EBITDA hit € 57.2 million with EBITDA margins of 46 %.
In the fourth quarter, revenue of € 35.9 million represented a rise of 38 % year-onyear or 18 % organic. EBITDA was up 31 % to € 14.3 million with EBITDA margin at 40 %, a decline on the full-year figure caused by high marketing and post-split costs.
Of the fourth quarter revenue, 51 % came from recurring revenue share agreements, though typically this is closer to 60 %. Revenue share for 2024 totalled € 73 million, which was up 32 % year-on-year.
