Affiliate Monitor Company by company Q4 results analysis
Massachusetts and Ohio in 2023 , as well as Kentucky , Gillespie noted that the North American business still generated 30 % growth from its existing operations .
“ I ’ m going to say that again to make sure nobody missed it ,” he said on the call . “ Our North American growth in 2023 was over 30 %, even when you exclude the contribution from all of the year ’ s new state launches .”
He suggested the organic growth was driven by customer shopping more accounts per individual as well as the accelerating media partnerships , the evolution of which we have covered in previous Affiliate Monitors .
Gillespie said that growth was expected in North America in the year ahead , despite the only slated launch being the aforementioned North Carolina . But he added that this will be complemented by growth in GAMB ’ s operations elsewhere .
While the UK business saw a slight downturn in Q4 , Gillespie stressed that over the course of 2023 revenue rose 11 % which , he noted , outpaced the overall UK betting and gaming market .
“ Even considering the challenging comps we have for the first half of this year , we expect to achieve double-digit revenue growth in the UK and Ireland this year , once again outpacing the expected overall market growth ,” he said .
‘ ALL THE PRETTY WEBSITES ’
Similarly strong growth is expected from the rest of Europe and further afield where , Gillespie said , the company has “ tactically invested ” in localised products for many years .
“ We have been building great consumer-facing products for over a decade but behind all of the pretty websites is a purpose-built platform where our team translates their culture of execution into realworld processes , which give us a superior capacity to deliver with enhanced efficiency , speed and quality ,” he said .
To the existing portfolio , Gambling . com Group will now be adding the assets it has bought from rival XLMedia which include Freebets . com and its related icasino affiliate assets . With these , he said , the group expects to “ drive additional growth in the UK and Ireland and substantial growth in the rest of Europe .”
Gambling . com has experience of driving growth in both top and bottom line from recent acquisitions , he added .
“ We expect the acquisition to be highly accretive to our adjusted EBITDA and free cash flow immediately upon closing ,” he said .
“ We are confident that over time we will scale the revenue and cash flow-generating capabilities of the acquired assets as we put our operating excellence and technology platforms to work
just as we have done with our earlier acquisitions of BonusFinder and RotoWire .”
He said the deal was a “ perfect example ” of how GAMB can use acquisitions to “ further leverage ” its performance marketing platform . Asked specifically about what the company could add , Gillespie cited “ slightly better deals , better conversion rates , more traffic , higher quality traffic , faster websites .”
“ It ’ s incremental improvements across every single point in the conversion funnel , and that ’ s what we are great at ,” he added . iGB Affiliate Monitor
