GIG COMPLETES KAFE ROCKS ACQUISITION

Gaming Innovation Group ( GiG ) has completed the acquisition of KaFe Rocks for € 35m (£ 30.5m /$ 37.4m ).
The deal will see GiG ’ s media division absorb brands including the USfacing Time2play . com and USCasino . com .

SIX AFFILIATE GIANTS FORM NEW US TRADE ASSOCIATION

Six US gambling affiliates have founded a new trade body , the Responsible Gambling Affiliate Association ( RGAA ).
The RGAA will advocate for “ reasonable regulation , responsible advertising and consumer protection ”.
Forming the RGAA are Better Collective , Catena Media , Gambling . com Group , Oddschecker , Spotlight Sports Group and XLMedia . The six have joined as initial members and hope others will follow suit .
The association hopes to “ champion ” responsible gambling marketing and advertising practices , empower affiliates to influence “ sensible
division and KaFe Rocks to result in a minimum revenue of € 23m in 2024 for the acquired assets . An EBITDA margin exceeding 45 % is also expected in the same period , as well as a
regulation ” and protect consumer interests .
The six founders have also highlighted that affiliate marketing providers should be participating in industry initiatives in the US to impact advertising regulations and advocate the practicalities of digital advertising .
In forming the RGAA , the six companies decided on five strategic pillars : promotion of competitive gambling markets ; industry education ; consumer protection , empowerment and choice ; advertising codes of conduct and responsible business practices .

SEAN HURLEY JOINS CATENA ’ S BOARD
Catena Media has announced that Sean Hurley will be joining its board as a non-executive director .
Hurley will fill the seat on the board vacated by Per Widerström last August .
Hurley ’ s time on the Catena board will run until the affiliate ’ s next annual general meeting , in accordance with the Maltese Companies Act and Catena ’ s articles of association .
The new non-executive director is based in the US and , according to Catena ’ s announcement , has more than 13 years of experience in the online sports betting , casino and social gaming industry .
CHECKD MEDIA APPOINTS ROB CABLE AS PPC MANAGER
Rob Cable is set to join Checkd Media ’ s paid media team as its pay-per-click manager .
The appointment is a new role for the affiliate in its content arm as Checkd says it is looking to scale its internal and external PPC offering and “ optimising the effectiveness of online advertising campaigns ”.
In his role , Cable will lead the expansion of Checkd Media ’ s PPC activity in the UK and US . He will be responsible for targeting both Google and Microsoft ads , focusing on market activity and using tools to find competitive commercial opportunities .
