he Marne Taxi was a taxi used in the first battle of Marne , when erman troops attacked Paris near the Marne river . French soldiers ere transported 5 a taxi to the battle , and the 4000 men ransported to the site by the taxis helped the French decisively in the First Battle of Marne . The taxis did not bring the majority f the soldiers , as most were brought by train : about 800,000 eople . However , the taxis helped to boost the morale of soldiers nd civilians .
