Hi I am the Lusitania medal you can call me Lusitania . I am a medallion made by Karl Goetz . In his perspective I think it was made because he wanted to let british know that they lost and humiliate british . I was named after a ship , not any ship it was the best ship at the time because it was huge , impressive and luxury . So it is an honor to be named after a ship but , some people think that it is humiliating to be named after a ship and I really don ’ t know why they would think that .
I was also used for making money . The british made many so they could sell it , get money and help the soldiers with the money . I was jealous of the other medals because I used to be the only one and I believe that if you are the only one then you are popular but when there are many of you , you are regular . I like being popular . When Karl Goetz was fixing his mistake with the dates I hated it because he pierced this rod in me and it hurt really bad . This pain was nothing compared to the pain that I got when he was making me . Even if there were many other lusitania medals I was Karl Goetz ’ s favorite because he made me . He used to carry me everywhere he went . Every single place he went was really amazing for me because I was just beginning to see the world and understand how it works . When Karl Goetz died it was really sad but today I stand in the national museum representing the war that happened . And I was the only one so I was popular again which felt good but , I miss Karl Goetz .
