The Barcelona at Villarreal match on April 29, 2014 signified the Barcelona club player, Dani Alves' strong stance against such racist acts. Right when he was about to take a corner, a banana was thrown infront of him by a spectator.
With ease, Alves simply picked up the banana, peeled it, and ate it before kicking in the ball that eventually earned Barcelona a point.

Racism is an evident issue that continues to exist within the society. Especially looking at the descrimination that professional players recieve from racist fans, it has existed before and it still exists now. The only difference now is that players are starting to take a stance against such actions.
