The photo of a naked woman with
mastectomy leads the series Venus
spasms. This image fuels my curiosity
already awakened by other photos: How
do you get people to pose like this?
"Many protagonists of my pictures have
some kind of relation with me. This
woman is a friend of my mother. I knew

that posing for the photo would give her
life. The photo has to do with suffering
and courage. In this series, I work with
traumas and stereotypes. Although
people pose for the camera, they are
showing real circumstances. I isolate
them to aggrandize the instant."
