debatingwithinaframeworkofrightsandprotection,respectandguarantees.Itmustbeguaranteethatthosetakingpartinsuchadebatecandoitfromtheperspectiveandtheprideoftheirracialaffiliation,orsimplybecause,asCubans,theyfeeltheneedtovindicatesomethingstillpendingandthatthehegemonicpowerpretendstocontinueignoring:theemancipation,whichinspiredAfro-Cubanstocontributetotheprocessofindependenceandtotheabolitionofslavery.
