Tilers face problems such as shortage of incentives that commensurate the quality of their service, lack of financial support and investment, lack of exposure to upskill and learn new techniques. What difference have you seen since your participation in the iCreate 19 Skill Fest last year? It has broadened my knowledge and increased my productivity in folds. I grew and learnt a lot. I do have the capacity to stand shoulder to shoulder with foreign tilers. What advice do you have for jobless youths? My advice to the jobless youth is to possess what majority lacks which is a hand skill. The company or individuals that once rejected them, will have a shift of mind and employ you. Ever since I emerged as winner in the competition, my plans have been: have a registered company, own a training institute, and expand my scope in the construction industry.
