USJ ICO NEWSLETTER M O N T H L Y APRIL 2018 I N T E R N S H I P I S S U E A N D C A R E E R N E W S 0 7 YOU'VE GOT THIS! On behalf of the Internship and Career Office (ICO), we are pleased to present you the seventh issue of ICOnnect. With the end of Spring Semester just around the corner, it is worth highlighting the concept of motivation and reminding you that you have all the tools you need to be successful. You should not exclusively rely on parents, friends and teachers to motivate you to reach your goals – you need to develop your self-motivation. It is wonderful to be inspired by friends and family but ultimately you must inspire yourself. Self- motivation is commonly related to success in all areas of life. Establish a long-term goal, create a plan to reach it (University courses are frequently part of that plan) and finally work hard to accomplish it - even if it means having to study for that one module you are not the biggest fan of. Why not choose an inspirational quote to help you on your journey? To get you started, here is one by Henry Ford: “Whether you believe you can or whether you believe you cannot, you are absolutely right”.
