“ But it ’ s knowing what His love for us really looks like and how that does make a difference that has been a huge part of my journey . “ My career as an artist has never or should have never been just about music ,” she continues . “ When God speaks to me , it ’ s very clear that His is a call to action . It ’ s always about His love first , telling me to go do this or to be about that . His love doesn ’ t allow us to stay where we are . Hs calling often means doing something that is a little bit , or a huge bit outside of our comfort . It requires us to go and do and be a light . I can ’ t waste any time . I want to go out and love well .” She ’ s putting those words into action with the new project , partnering with a variety of organizations and ministries along the way . “ The plan is to donate the proceeds of the album to a different charity every three months ,” she says . “ The first is The Next Door , which helps women coming out of prison transition to a new way of life . The next will be an international organization .” In the midst of her music and philanthropic efforts , Ginny is also engaged in an ongoing battle with her health . In her typical fashion , however , instead of feeling or living like a victim , she has chosen to think of these challenges as a growth opportunity . “ I feel God has really stripped away all the things that have given me comfort and identity ,” she muses . “ I now know that I ’ ll never be content in my own life unless I allow His voice to be the loudest . Only His presence and contentment could have brought me through these challenges . “ He has pulled me away from trying to over-compensate ,” she continues . “ It ’ s humbling and has been a long journey to let go of the slavery to other people ’ s opinions . It ’ s OK to be different . It ’ s OK to have a challenge .” The purity of her faith and unwavering determination to be all that God has called her to be gives us all hope that we matter ; encouragement to face the challenges that lie ahead ; discipline and commitment to quieting the many voices and worldly things that compete for our attention , seeking and very intentionally enabling Love — His Love — to be the loudest .
