Jonathan Cain

If you ’ ve ever belted out “ Don ’ t Stop Believing ” in the shower , in the car or while watching “ Glee ,” you ’ re familiar with Jonathan Cain ’ s work . The legendary songwriter and guitarist who was and is a member of the iconic rock band Journey , penned the song that has worked its way into the hearts of people around the world . His latest solo project is a testament to the way that Christ has worked His way into his heart . In recent years , Jonathan has experienced a spiritual awakening , of sorts . His relatively new marriage to Pastor Paula White has played a key role in his renewal and , upon spending time by her side in ministry , he realized it was time to put his faith on tape . “ There was a very clear moment in time when I began to think about what God wanted to hear from me next ,” says Cain . “ That ’ s when I realized I needed to do an album that answered that question .” The result is the aptly title , What God Wants to Hear , with Cain ’ s signature style and sound that has made him a legend . Turns out what God wants to hear is something we ’ re all going to want to hear over and over .
The sophomore effort of The Brilliance lives up to its moniker with a remarkable duality , sonically and thematically . With a goal of reaching both those within and without traditional church circle , this project affirms what its title suggests . Indeed , all is not lost .
She ’ s back ! CCM ’ s favorite sweetheart returns with a bang , courtesy of her latest single , “ Party Like a Princess .” A preview of a new album in the works , this marks Jamie ’ s first solo project since going indie and all signs indicate that this will be her greatest work to date .
