  A survey was conducted asking millennials what made their generation unique. According to the results, millennials saw their generation as unique due to the use of technology. Other ways in which millennials saw themselves as unique included their choice in music, pop culture, beliefs, education, and style. Millennials are the only generation that view style/clothes as a unique factor to their generation. See picture below (Pew Research) IMPACT OF INFLUENCERS Y Pulse research shows that millennials seek to consult their peers’ opinions and get reviews before making a purchase. Bouncing off of this, millennials are known to be social shoppers. 63% of females turn to their friends in regards to fashion advice – even more than looking to store displays, magazines, celebrities, etc. Therefore, we can see that the impact of peers and friends is powerful to the millennial generation.
