Paulina Maravilla
Paulina Maravilla is the Assistant Director of Admissions and from from Oakland,
CA. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor’s of
Science in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing. At San Francisco
State University, she helped tutor her peers in finance and marketing courses
and earned a spot on the Dean’s list. At ICA, Paulina visits hundreds of program
partners, schools, parishes, etc. to promote ICA with student Ambassadors.
Kathleen McKenzie
Kathleen McKenzie is a Dominican Volunteer from Chino, CA. This past
June, she graduated from Occidental College with a BA in Cognitive Science
& Philosophy. During college, she spent her time cultivating the Catholic
community on campus, engaging in interfaith activism, performing academic
research, working on and off campus, and exploring the broader Los Angeles
area. She has particularly fond memories of working in the Los Angeles Unified
School District and in the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life at Occidental.
At ICA, she assists the counseling office, acts as lunchtime supervisor in the
library, and serves as a chaperone for morning and afternoon commutes for the
Corporate Work Study Program.
Joseph Tomaso
Joe Tomaso is a graduate student at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley,
CA. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor’s in Business
Administration with a focus in Management. Joe was involved in Campus
Ministry at Loyola, leading small reflection groups and retreats. After working
for a marketing company in the Chicago area for about three years, Joe moved to
Berkeley along with his wife to begin graduate school. He hopes to go on to teach
Theology at the secondary level and to be involved in various types of Catholic
ministry. At ICA, Joe occasionally teaches classes for the freshman religion course,
Encountering Jesus. He also assists in various projects in Campus Ministry.
