jer llamada Svabodhi lleva 22 años
ofreciendo amor y salvación a estos
animales. Conocido simplemente
como “El Santuario”, su humilde
centro está escondido en el corazón
de la isla. Se trata de un lugar don-
de los caballos rescatados pueden
recuperarse y vivir el resto de sus

an Samstagabenden. Eine andere
Möglichkeit, Pferde in voller Aktion
zu bewundern, sind die aufregenden
Polo-Turniere in der Nähe von San Lo-
renzo. Pferde sind seit jeher ein Sym-
bol der Freiheit. Sie ermutigen uns,
unsere wildesten Leidenschaften und
Wünsche zu verfolgen und zu erfüllen.
Deshalb ist es kein Wunder, dass
diese energiegeladenen Tiere auf
dieser Trauminsel ihren Platz gefun-
den haben. Denn sie passen perfekt
zu diesem Freiheitsgefühl, das auf
Ibiza existiert und das so viele von
uns auf die Insel gezogen hat.
Obwohl der Tierschutz auf Ibiza einen
relativ großen Stellenwert hat, gibt es
dennoch einige Fälle von Tierquäle-
rei oder Vernachlässigung. Glückli-
cherweise gibt es eine Frau namens
Svabodhi, die sich seit 22 Jahren
unermüdlich um misshandelte Pferde
kümmert, sie rettet und ihnen Liebe
schenkt. Dieser Platz, an dem die Tie-
re ein behütetes Heim finden, ist als
