How to wear hats in Finland?

By Linh Dang, IB16 student from Vietnam

Have you ever heard about “the Six Thinking Hats”?

Mechanically quoting out from Mindtools website,

which is one of my university lifesavers, this term calls out a definition of “a powerful technique for looking at decision making from different points of view” (the Mind tool content team [Ref. 11 April 2018]). Well, with me, that’s the most amazing part that I have experienced as a freshman at the Seinäjoki University of Applied Science. My teacher, Mr.Osmo, gave class chance to do a small quiz. That super easy one turned out letting us know which hats did we have? In other words, the quiz gave us a hand in determining what kind of reaction trend we have already applied when it comes to situation required problem-solving. It’s kind of useless at first, however, since everyone has a self-esteem which makes us cannot see ourselves as the others do. Maybe today I know that I have been right but, in fact, I still have missed some small detail that hurts other people by accident. And I don’t even have a clue for that because it’s all happened due to my habit, my trend.
