Will Johnson sits on town hall panel discussion
focused on the challenge of providing sufficient mental
health services to those in need.
Cynthia Deitle presented at several locations in 2018
including the 2018 Bar Leaders Community Event and
Reception: Diversity in the Legal Profession in Knoxville,
TN, the National Association of Law Placement Board
Members in Sedona, AZ, and Hate Crime Training for
Prosecutors and Investigators in Flagstaff, AZ to name a
few.
Will Johnson presented at the LGBTI Pride Month Panel
on hate crimes at the US State Department in Washington
D.C. The panel was broadcast to every Embassy globally.
The need for a National Crime Commission and law
enforcement advocacy for hate crime laws targeting
LGBTI persons was discussed.
Carmen Best represented the Human and Civil Rights
Committee in several functions throughout Seattle
designed to raise awareness and inclusiveness that
provides equal protection under the law for all citizens.
The Seattle Police Dept
launched the Seattle Police
Activities League
Mentorship Program that
focuses on mentoring youth
of color. This is being
supported through the
National PAL Mentorship
Program.
Jennifer Evans participated in meetings with the Peel Police Black Advisory Committee and LGTBI+
Chief's Advisory Committee meeting on contemporary issues affecting the profession.
