VISIT TO INDIA
THE BIG BROTHER
Among all the Italian TV reality shows, The Big Brother is the
most popular one.It was born in the Netherlands in 1999
from an idea that was born during an Italian brainstorming.
The Big Brother, as you all know, is a game show where a
group of people living together in a house for three-four
months, completely isolated from the outside world,
monitored by cameras set everywhere. They have no clocks,
no TV, no radio, no phone; they can’t read newspapers or
magazines.
The contestants are totally unknown, common people who
hope to become famous or at least to win the final prize, that
in Italy this year is € 250.000Usually people like it or hate
it.Someone is in favour of Big Brother because it helps people
to become famous, others think that the fame is very short
and after some months they are no one again.
Some people think that this programme is an opportunity for
ordinary people to get some money, but many other people
think that this is not a good model for the young guys
because they could think that you can get much money
without doing anything.
Many people like watching the Big Brother because
sometimes the contestants fall in love with each other or
because people make good friends and people like love
stories and friendship, on the other hand many other people
are convinced that love and friendships are fake, everything
is planned by the organization, the staff.
However the Big Brother this year is broadcast in many
countries of every continent.Do you watch Big Brother? Do
you like it? Please tell us your opinion about this popular
programme. Thank you!- Class 2C LSA
