Rhapsody’, a dance festival showcasing folk dance forms from across the world was organized. Students, dressed in colorful and attractive traditional costumes of various countries, gave scintillating performances which enthralled the audience. As the program unfolded with one spectacular performance after another, the audience got an opportunity to travel through countries like Greece, Philippines, Columbia, Vietnam, Thailand, Chile, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Cuba, Russia, China and even into the deep interiors of Africa and Arabia . – Meenakshi Sharma, Nitish Chopra, XII-C Indian Classical DanceS BY MAYANK SHUKLA Since ancient times Indian Classical Dance was a sacred Art, practiced and performed mainly in Temples.
