I can't believe it's Vegan Icantbeliveitsvegan | Page 4
Introduction
This cookbook is for people who have embraced or are looking
to transition to a plant based diet for ethical reasons.
These recipes are designed to help people adapt to a plant
based diet by recreating some “old” favourites and
demonstrating that moving to a plant based diet doesn't mean
you have to go without things you love like cakes and desserts.
This book takes traditional meat and dairy based dishes and re-
creates them in a compassionate manner.
While these recipes are not designed to be “healthy” but rather
delicious, we have taken care to use as little processed products
as possible. We also try to use everyday ingredients that can be
bought no matter where you are in the world, we use no
commercial vegan products like vegan margarine or egg
replacers. We also use no alcohol in our recipes.
We do make recommendations for making your own mock
meats and dairy products. We adore the work of The Gentle
Chef who has some amazing vegan meat and dairy recipes that
are really easy to make.
We here at Rob’s Dogs truly believe the only way we will win the
masses over to a plant based diet is to create yummy food that
mimics dishes they have enjoyed containing meat and dairy. We
love preparing delicious compassionate food, that people say …
“I cant believe its vegan!”
